Early in 2015 we were tasked with helping to conceptualise the look and feel of Los Angeles for Blade Runner 2049. Set 30 years on from the first film, the city is now blanketed in a layer of thick smog, constant rain, and snow due to extreme pollution. Rising sea levels force L.A. to reinforce its ocean borders with a gigantic sea wall. This design explored the ocean side. A frozen stillness with hints of ghostly structures lost to the ocean. I was also floating the idea of a border control point. Heavy in sponsorship/advertising.
